Focus GroupFocus Groups allow for the qualitative analysis of feedback from mock jurors. While Dr. Meeks typically recommends empirical research, Focus Groups are practical and useful at early phases of the case and in certain circumstances. They provide an economical solution to less complex case questions such as public opinion or how to proceed with a case.
Mock TrialMock trials are an effective method of juror research that scientifically assesses evidence, witnesses and presentations as well as informing case valuation, trial strategy and jury selection. Dana Meeks Consulting will handle the entire process from start to finish including securing a location, recruiting mock jurors, constructing questionnaires, designing and facilitating the mock trial, and analyzing the results. Dr. Meeks designs mock trials to adhere to experimental principals to allow for not only a qualitative analysis (interpretative), but also a quantitative analysis (objective) of data attained. Every step is done in a manner that eliminates bias thereby providing reliable and valid results. Recruitment of mock jurors strictly adheres to empirical methods that ensure the mock jury is a representative sample of the jury pool where your case is venued. Dr. Meeks tailors questionnaires in order to extrapolate data to gauge trends, scientifically test case issues, and evaluate witness credibility and evidence effectiveness. She will provide relevant demographic, experience and personality factors of jurors specific to your case. Within 1-2 weeks following your mock trial, Dr. Meeks will provide a digestible and comprehensive summary which will include themes that resonate with jurors as well as predictions and recommendations.
Hybrid & Specially Designed Jury ResearchDr. Meeks has spent many years designing research to answer specific questions, test case issues and meet the needs of attorneys. Some situations warrant larger scale research that may utilize phone or internet surveys, or a hybrid approach. Dr. Meeks will work with you to determine the best design given the specific issues of the case and the goals of the attorneys and clients.
